The new M5 will be based on the new F10 2011 BM 5-series, with motivation coming courtesy of a more powerful version of the BMW X6M's twin-turbo V8 engine.
That's the end of the good news, Car says not to expect a wagon variant (we guess there's always the X5 M for dog owners) and that the new M5 will likely be equipped with Efficient Dynamics technology to reduce emissions levels by 30 percent.
